Improve the lives of immigrants through education!

Washington English Center's mission is to provide affordable English-language instruction and workforce programs to adult immigrants using volunteers. This is work is made possible through the generosity of donors.

Over the last year, WEC has taught 1,890 immigrants and refugees from 104 countries to read, write, listen to, and speak English with greater fluency and confidence. Today, we are as committed as ever to welcoming all who seek the promise of a future in this, their new home.
